For International Nurses & Midwives Day 2026, LifeGrain Café set out to recognise the people who spend their working lives caring for others.
Across several hospital communities, our team worked directly with healthcare leaders, hospital foundations and suppliers to deliver simple, practical gestures of appreciation to nurses and midwives.
At The Sutherland Hospital, LifeGrain Café partnered with AllPress Espresso to set up a dedicated coffee cart for nursing staff. Throughout the event, LifeGrain Café’s Operations Manager and Sutherland Café Manager stood behind the cart themselves, preparing and serving coffees to the nurses and midwives passing through.
It was a modest gesture. But in the middle of a busy hospital day, it created something that mattered: a moment of recognition.
At Prince of Wales Hospital, the LifeGrain executive team organised complimentary coffees and muffins for nurses and midwives. In partnership with the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation, we also distributed thank you cards with free coffee vouchers across the hospital community.
At Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and Liverpool Hospital, LifeGrain Café worked directly with Directors of Nursing to deliver hundreds of thank you cards and complimentary coffee vouchers to teams across the hospitals.
The activations were intentionally simple and appropriate for public healthcare environments, where gifting must remain modest and compliant.
Still, simple does not mean insignificant.
