Let’s be real - navigating the hospitality world as a woman, climbing the ranks and running the show? Not for the faint of heart.
But Bec? She didn’t just step up to the challenge - she owned it.
Let's get to know Bec (short for Rebecca), dual-site manager of our Main Cafe at Liverpool Hospital and the Kiosk at the Educational Centre across the bridge in Warwick Farm.
From Hustling at 14 to Calling the Shots
Bec’s story starts at 14, not in a classroom, but in the real world. While other kids were figuring out what they wanted to do, she was already doing it – hustling in restaurants, bowling alleys and fast-paced service spots, learning the ropes the hard way.
No shortcuts.
No handouts.
Just determination and a relentless work ethic that would set the foundation for everything to come.
When she joined LifeGrain four years ago, she wasn’t there to blend in – she was there to build. Within months, she wasn’t just part of the team; she was helping lead it, launching the Liverpool Kiosk, then stepping up to manage both the main café and the Kiosk (and even Plume Cafe at one time).

A Woman in Charge – No Apologies Needed
Let’s talk about being a woman in management. The reality? Bec has faced doubt, resistance and the unspoken pressure to work twice as hard to be seen as equally capable.
But Bec isn’t here for validation.
She is here to get things done. She’s all about leading with heart and strategy, setting the tone for her team, and proving that strength and empathy can (and should) go hand in hand.
She’s built a culture where respect isn’t requested – it’s expected. Where growth isn’t an option, it’s a priority. And where the next generation of women in hospitality can see exactly what’s possible when you refuse to shrink yourself.
Building a Life, Not Just a Career
Bec isn’t just crushing it at work though, she’s also creating a life she’s proud of.
Her biggest flex? Showing her kids what drive, ambition and balance look like firsthand.
She recharges by taking naps and drinking Redbull by the bucket
. . . she jokes.
But seriously, she recharges by ensuring she takes care of her health: training at the gym with her twin sister and spending quality time with her husband and two kids.
Bec is also for setting goals that don’t just challenge her – they excite her. She and her husband are locking down their first home (hello, major milestone!) and looking ahead at what’s next.
And in her career? She’s not stopping at café management – she’s thinking bigger. (Stay tuned!)
The Bottom Line? Women Like Bec Are Changing the Game.
Bec’s journey isn’t just inspiring – it’s proof of what’s possible when you refuse to give up. She’s not out here climbing the ladder; she’s holding the door open for others.
And for every woman who’s been told to “wait her turn” or “tone it down,” she’s proof that success belongs to those who refuse to play small.
And perhaps the most beautiful part? Her story is still being written.
