As we come to the close of Summer, I am immensely proud of all the wonderful ways we have shown up for one another. Through the highs and the challenges of this past quarter, we have stood together. Through every event, and across every team, we have stayed true to our core purpose: to provide comfort to our customers with consistently good food and great coffee. This is the standard we set.
The industry we serve is, at its heart, about service. The word hospitality originates from the Latin word *hospes* meaning “guest,” “host,” or “stranger”. It traces back to the Latin hospitalitas (
Our role carries a deeper meaning.
Personally, as Christians, we recognise that hospitality is deeply biblical. It reflects Jesus Christ Himself, who welcomed, served and cared for people in their moments of need.
Rouby and I were personally reminded of this during our hospital stay with our second son, Christian. In that season, small acts of care brought great comfort. That experience continues to shape how I see our work. What The LifeGrain Group provides is more than food and coffee; it is reassurance, familiarity and relief in moments that matter.
As I reflect on the past ten years, I am humbled by the progress we have made as a company. From our beginnings of 5 staff to now over 180, it is certain that this journey was not ventured alone. This growth has been built on shared effort, shared values and shared belief.
A sincere thank you to each and every one of you for the hospitality you extend to our customers and to one another, every single day. We could not be where we are today without your contribution.
I hope you take the time each quarter to read this newsletter as it is a chance to share our shared direction and bring our broader group story together by connecting all brands.
God bless you all.
