Pushing our systems forward
In February we held sessions with store managers from all three brands to get feedback on what was needed in systems to plug a big gap in our business – recrutiment. Michelle White from Employii came over from Perth to run the sessions in person, and we had great interactive sessions which really nailed down what our teams need to run recruitment in a way that is efficient, enjoyable and delivers great outcomes – i.e. finding people who fit in well with our teams and values who are thriving in the work they are doing. From here we’ll be launching new systems to ensure our advertising, candidate shortlisting, interview process and selection process are all stremlined with those outcomes in mind. Keep an eye out for these new processes to come out over the next few months.
The new Dashboard is almost here
We have been slowly but surely developing our new Dashboard over the last few months and launch time is almost upon us. The new Dashboard will be lightning fast, deliver the reports and data analysis we need, and be more relevant than ever. Plume Hurstville is going to be our launch store and once we have proven it’s operational performance there, expect to have it rolled out in your store quite soon after that.
Focus on People – Congratulations Patrick McGovern!
We’re very happy to have had Patrick stepping up as the Cafe Manager for our brand new Plume Cafe at Hurstville Private Hospital. Patrick has been with us for almost 4 years, starting with us part time at just 20, and has consistently performed down in Sutherland, being a key supervisor. Hurstville represented a great opportunity for Patrick to take his first steps into Cafe Management, being able to recruit a team from scratch and start with a nice clean slate.
Patrick follows current managers Bec, Jenny, Jarek, Eva and Angella as managers who started their career with us in casual roles. With more stores coming online in 2026 there are more opportunities in the pipeline, so please down hesitate to reach out to Michael, Ryan, Jess or myself if you are interested in taking another step in your career.
