The Central Kitchen provided 1250 breakfast boxes for the annual Christmas breakfast held out the front of Plume ASB. Another successful year delivering quality food in bulk.
 
Although we had challenges with fridge space and storage well done to the team for adapting as always.

Annual Christmas Lunch for LifeGrain Barker St.
 
Although the Central Kitchen does not see the final results of the Christmas lunch, we were heavily involved again this year in preparing all of the food for barker st to serve to the 770 customers who attended. Our relationships with our suppliers definitely show up at this time of the year and its our continuous teamwork and respect that makes the working relationship strong and able for us to receive many food donations from our suppliers for Christmas lunch 
Meet our Head Chef, Satoshi 
 
Satoshi has been with Lifegrain for 2 and 1/2 years and has been a crucial part of the Central Kitchen’s journey. His favorite part of the job is training and developing team members and seeing them grow through the kitchen ranks as he once did.
 
Originally from Kyoto, Japan, Satoshi moved to Sydney after studying law and found his passion for food, starting as a kitchen hand in sydney cafes he devloped his skills and made his way up to a senior sous chef ( and hotcake master ) at bills Bondi.
 
He has been in Sydney for over 10 years, enjoys afternoon basketball and going out for dinner with his wife prerma, his favorite is ramen.

What to Look Forward to this Autumn
 
New catering site going live which will give our customers an easier overall experience and will be the first step in building our catering sales week by week. This will also transistion into the new platform for stores to place their central kitchen orders through and give the central kitchen the oppotunity in the future to expand who we offer catering products to.

Jessica brings deep expertise in catering, menu development and team leadership. She has been instrumental in refining menus and streamlining operations across both Plume Café and LifeGrain Cafe, enhancing consistency and customer satisfaction.

Jessica is actively focused on menu rationalization and kitchen efficiency within LifeGrain, while also managing and strengthening key supplier relationships ensuring our food offering remains both high-quality and commercially smart.
